Award-winning songstress Shreya Ghoshal returns, by popular demand, to serenade South African fans, on April 30.

Bollywood’s sweetheart, Shreya Ghoshal, wowed a sold-out Joburg audience back in 2016. This award-winning songstress returns by popular demand to serenade South African fans for another unforgettable musical journey on April 30, at Emperors Palace.

With Twitter fans exceeding 6.8 million, 27.8 million on Facebook and 12.7 million followers on Instagram, there is no doubt that Shreya continues to lead the playback pack and is still one of the most highly acclaimed and sought after Bollywood artists of her time.

As a truly special talent in the Indian recording industry, and a leading female playback singer in Indian cinema, Shreya is considered one of the most versatile singers of her generation.  She has mastered singing in several regional languages and musical variations and she will showcase her soulful melody and music with numbers including ‘Ooh La La’, ‘Radha on the Dancefloor’, Deewani Mastani’,  ‘Chikni Chameli’, ‘Teri Meri’ and many more.

“Shreya is always one of our most anticipated musical events!  From the production quality of her live shows to her performances of her biggest chart-toppers, fan favourites and outstanding renditions of evergreen songs from the greats, Shreya is the epitome of world-class entertainment,” said Osman Osman, MD of Blu Blood.

She has clinched numerous awards to her name including a National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer, a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and New Music Talent and several IIFA Awards and has performed to sell-out audiences at the Royal Albert Hall.  She has released over twenty albums, sung well over 1500 songs in 11 Indian languages and her illustrious career has not only seen her gain global fame and perform in some of the most prestigious venues around the world but she is also the first Indian singer to be waxed at Madame Tussauds in London.

“My last visit to South Africa was amazing!  I am always humbled by the warm welcome that I receive when I visit, the fans are incredibly supportive and it’s a very special energy when I perform in South Africa.  I am so fortunate that my music takes me around the globe and I am very excited to return to the beautiful South Africa,” said Shreya Ghoshal.

Shreya Ghoshal will be performing live in concert at Emperors Palace Centre Court, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
