Shreya Goshal back in South Africa for a Bollywood spectacular

After performing to sold-out audiences in 2016, the internationally acclaimed and award-winning ‘Queen of Bollywood’, Shreya Ghoshal, returns, by popular demand, to serenade South African fans with yet another night of soulful melody and music.  Shreya will be accompanied by popular Indian vocalist, Kinjal Chattopadhyay, with support performances by the stars of Sony Entertainment TV, Shaheer Sheikh and Kushal Tandon. Shreya Ghoshal Live in Concert will head to the Durban ICC on August 19 and the Centre Court at Emperors Palace on August 20.

Fans can expect to be taken on an unforgettable musical journey as Shreya performs all her biggest chart-toppers, fan favourites and classics including her recent hit from the movie Half GirlfriendDeewani Mastani (Bajiro Mastani), Ooh La La Ooh La La (Dirty Picture), Radha on the Dancefloor (Student of the Year), Teri Meri (Bodyguard), Manwa Laaga (Happy New Year) and Sun Raha Hai Na Tu (Aashiqui 2), as well as the evergreen songs of Lata Mangeshkar.

“I am so fortunate that my music takes me around the world, and I’m absolutely delighted that I get to return to the beautiful South Africa,” says Ghoshal.

Rising star (and Law Graduate from Calcutta University), Kinjal Chattopadhyay makes his debut stage performance in South Africa alongside Shreya Ghoshal. With a promising musical career ahead of him, Kinjal is widely recognised for appearing on shows such as Idea Rocks India, Tara Muzik, Akash Bangla and Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Eagerly awaiting their debut appearances in South Africa, Sony TV stars, Shaheer Sheik (Dev) and Kushal Tandon (Arjun) will be the supporting acts on stage and are sure to have their fans captivated with their performances.

“We have always believed in bringing world-class entertainment to South African stages and Shreya is the epitome of world-class.  The concert promises to be a super, power-packed and unforgettable show that is not to be missed,” comments Osman Osman, MD of Blu Blood.

“Thousands were turned away at her last sold-out concerts in South Africa, we encourage people to book their tickets early for this musical extravaganza,” adds Showtime Promotions director, Veesham Maharaj.

The performances will take place at the Durban ICC on Saturday, August 19 at 7.30pm and at the Centre Court at Emperors Palace on Sunday, August 20 at 6pm. Tickets start from R280 and are available through Computicket online or Computicket retail outlets.
